Omo valley


 The omo valley tribe refer to the various indegenous ethnic group in habting  the lower omo valley in south western Ethiopia These group unique culture and tradition including the Hammer mursi kara bodi suri Nyangatom structre way of life agro pastoralism            Hammer  known distinctive hair style lip plate and cattle related rituals including the famous bull jamping ceremony                       mursi lip plate worn by women and their warrior culture             suri known as surma body scarification stick fighting           kara their elaborated body painting and facial decoration                      Bodi annual fattening ritual were men gain weight to participate in a ceremony                                     Nyangatom  their fierce warrior culture and their conflict over grazing land and cattle
