Mursi people

 mursi people of southern omo Ethiopia and were on idea comes from my feeling the first time i visited the mursi tribe of south omo the woman of course  of custom have their lips cut so a disk can be inserted around the age 15 just before marriage the sheer amount of adorament with which they ornament themselves is awork of art in and of itself the mursi are nomadic and roughly 7500 who remain live mainly in the mango national  park    To paint the lip plates and all the decoration seem paintless to me

 Babile Elephants sanctuary 25 km from Harar an elevated pleateau one looks down at the deep the sanctuary was originally gafaltered rotact a supposed elephant  subspcies elephant can live in almost any habitant with sufficient food and water but in the reserve they prefer to stay in the Erer vally babile is also home to hot thermal springs used to supply much of eastern Ethiopia

 Debre Damo monastery  is situated on isolated mountain in northern part of tigray it is unque compared with most Ethiopian monasteries DebreDamo was built in the sixth century  AD with curved wood panels painted ceiling and walls dedicated to the legend of saint (abuna)Aregawi        DebreDamo is centred on the nine saints who came to Ethiopia from syria to spread Christianity in the tigray region a prominent monastics educational centre for Ethiopian orthodox Tewahedo church DebreDamo is only accessible by climbing up by a rope which is made of plaited leather lowered from the cliffs The feast of saint (Abuna)Aregawi is celebration on October 14 which culminates in a pilgrimage to Debre Damo from all over the country
